Well hello, there!
Nice of you to stop by.
Hi, I'm Angela Colvin: An animator driven by a strong love for showcasing how every movement is a window into the personality and soul of a character. I am a life-long gamer who used to spend her summers inside (away from those evil UV rays, of course) playing fighting games and RPGs with stories and immersive experiences that I will forever hold dear to my heart (yes, even Final Fantasy 8). My passion is fueled in part by contributing to projects that inspire memorable experiences and tell stories that players worldwide resonate and are inspired by.
I've been working in games for about 6 years, ranging from gameplay combat, traversal and locomotion, gestures, and cinematics. Past projects include: Skate. (2025, Full Circle - an EA studio), Star Wars KOTOR:Remake (rip), Wizard 101 (KingsIsle Entertainment), RPG Dice: Legend of Whitestone (WIMO Games), and Gen:Lock (Season 1, Rooster Teeth). I am comfortable with both keyframe and motion capture animation workflows in Maya, 3ds Max, and Motion Builder. I love creating expressive animations that tell a story or bring out personality that people can resonate with. I love the small details in animation: the subtle movements of the hands, following arcs, exploring timing variations. I encourage people to give feedback on my work and am always looking for ways to improve and grow as an animator. I take constructive criticism well and implement revision notes with precision. I like asking questions and discovering the "how" and "why" behind processes, especially outside of the Animation wheelhouse. The more I understand about other departments, the better and more effective I can be on the team.
Contributing to engaging, interactive experiences is genuinely one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do as game developers - We all have memories of being completely immersed in a game and its story from back when we were younger (or maybe as recent as last week). Giving back to the community by contributing the the development of games that inspire others is quite literally one of the biggest honors of my career.
Please feel free to shoot me an email for business inquiries or just to say 'Hi'. We can talk about cats, music, cheesy (and awesome) 80s/90s action movies, Russell Crowe on a moped, animation - the list goes on.
Keep at your absolute best,
Angela Colvin
